The Year of the Monkey also ruled 1908, 1920, 1932, 1944, 1956, 1968, 1980, 1992 and 2004.

We arranged for the "Inaugural Strike" coins to be immediately graded and certified, and the ones offered here have been independently graded and certified by ANACS as nearly perfect Proof 69 (abbreviated PR69) condition. And more, the coin is in Deep Cameo condition, the highest level of Reverse Proof quality.

The coin is certified as Inaugural Strike release. The combination of Inaugural Strike and grade of PR69 makes it a collector's treasure. However, very few are available. When they are gone, no more coins can be certified as Inaugural Strike.
All coins are graded on a 70-point scale. With a grade of PR69 it is nearly impossible to find a better coin. The coin is also encapsulated in a tamper-proof holder to protect its condition for the future and to preserve the Inaugural Strike certification. This guarantees the coin's authenticity and condition as long as the case remains intact. The grading is done by ANACS, an independent third party grading company.
