These 1976 Bicentennial coins were produced at the San Francisco mint out of 40% silver. Each coin features a special reverse design in celebration of the 200th anniversary of American independence. The coins are dual dated, 1776-1976, and are the only coins ever dual dated by the United States Mint. Each coin has been certified in Gem Proof condition by PCGS, one of America’s most respected coin grading services.

The set includes a Bicentennial quarter, which is the first Washington quarter without the eagle reverse, a Kennedy half dollar with Independence Hall's image on the reverse - the only design change ever for that series, and an Eisenhower dollar featuring a liberty bell superimposed over the moon. These new reverse designs were produced for one year only to honor the 200th anniversary of America’s birth.

To enhance their collectibility, each Bicentennial issue has been autographed by the coin’s designer - the quarter by Jack L. Ahr, the half dollar by Seth Huntington and the dollar by Dennis R. Williams. The names appear on the capsules provided by the PCGS to preserve the coins beauty and condition. The coins are delivered in a custom display with a Certificate of Authenticity.
