PR69 Civil War Commemorative Proof Silver Half Dollar

In 1995, the U.S. Mint issued the Civil War Battlefield Half Dollar.  Proceeds from this one-year-only issue were used to help fund the preservation and rehabilitation of our country’s most important Civil War battlefields.  Among the most historically significant of all American commemorative coins, this issue bears the poignant words “Enriching our future by preserving the past” on the reverse. 

We’ve obtained a small sample of these popular coins in Proof 69 condition, just one grade lower than a Proof 70 coin which is the highest possible grade attainable.  The savings are significant – you’d pay $600 more for the PR70 coin.  Each mirror-bright Proof finish coin is in a sealed and certified tamper-proof holder from NCG (the respected Numismatic Guaranty Corporation) and comes packaged in a free velveteen display box for posterity and protection.
