Brilliant Uncirculated 1935-P Peace Silver Dollar
The last TRUE silver dollar minted for circulation in the US. Designed and minted to commemorate the end of World War I, the Peace Dollar was minted from 1922 to 1928 and again 1934 and 1935. All US dollar coins minted for circulation after 1935 were minted from a composite metal and are not true silver dollars. As such, the 1935 Peace Silver Dollar holds the distinction as the last US Silver Dollar minted for circulation.
The Peace Silver Dollar was designed by Anthony de Francisci and features a lovely depiction of Lady Liberty on the obverse. The reverse of the coin shows a Bald Eagle perched above the word "PEACE'.
