30-Coin Territorial Quarters Mint Mark Set

This comprehensive collection features the Denver, Philadelphia and San Francisco mint versions of the U.S. Mint’s 2009 “DC and Territorial Quarters Program”. Included are 6 Brilliant Uncirculated coins from both the Philadelphia and Denver Mints, 6 Satin Finish coins from both the Philadelphia and Denver Mints and the 6 Proof Finish quarters that were minted in San Francisco.  The coins are as follows: District of Columbia and the five U.S. territories: Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, the U.S. Virgin Islands and the Northern Mariana Islands.

The Philadelphia and Denver Mints BU coins are in brilliant, never-circulated condition - as pristine as when they were first released from the United States Mint.  The Philadelphia and Denver Mint Satin Finish coins were created exclusively for United States Mint Sets – none were released into circulation or made available individually.  Satin Finish coins look different from regular coins because the dies are sandblasted with a fine mixture of sand and glass beads.  The look is very appealing and distinctive.  The 6 Proof coins minted in San Francisco are unlike regular U.S. coins because they were double-struck on highly polished coin blanks to bring out the mirrored background and high-relief images.  Because of the extra time it takes to strike these Proofs, only a limited number of them are produced each year.  They are never made again.
